The Baldwin County Commission has entered into a Subrecipient Agreement with the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP) and Dauphin Island Sea Lab to enhance Stream Gauge Monitoring in Baldwin County and to develop a Low Impact Development (LID) stormwater review tool. The agreement, effective May 20, 2025, through April 30, 2026, marks a continued investment in Baldwin County’s long-term water resource management strategy. This project has been funded through a financial partnership with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s National Estuary Program.

During the May 20, 2025, Commission meeting, the Baldwin County Commission introduced a uniquely innovative locally funded County/Municipal Transportation Infrastructure Partnership Program coined “The 30 Cubed Program”.
The 30 Cubed Program is the first locally funded County/Municipal transportation partnership program of this magnitude ever introduced in not only Baldwin County, but the State of Alabama. The 30 Cubed Program is possibly the only locally funded County/Municipal transportation partnership program of this magnitude in the nation.

The Baldwin County Commission and the City of Gulf Shores are excited to announce they have entered into an Intergovernmental Roadway Construction Agreement for intersection improvements on County Road 6 at State Route 59.
The County Road 6 at State Route 59 Intersection Improvements will be the first project of the Baldwin County Commission’s 30 Cubed Program which is aimed at fostering collaboration with municipalities across the county to enhance the capacity and connectivity of our roadway system.

The Baldwin County Probate Office and Revenue Office located at the Baldwin County Central Annex (22251 Palmer Street, Robertsdale, AL 36567) will temporarily close beginning May 1, 2025, for approximately ten months. The closure is necessary to allow for extensive renovations aimed at upgrading the facility and enhancing services for Baldwin County residents.

Beginning on or about January 27, 2025, approximately 222,600 coated sachet baits containing the RABORAL V-RG® oral rabies vaccine (ORV) will be distributed across a 1,599 square-mile bait zone in Southwest Alabama, targeting raccoons and other wildlife. These baits will be distributed by low-flying airplanes and helicopters throughout a vaccination area that includes most of the coastal peninsula and parts of the following cities: Spanish Fort, Fairhope, Daphne, and Foley.
