The Baldwin County Commission Receives Two Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) Stormwater Grant Awards

The Baldwin County Commission has received two Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) Stormwater Grant Awards. The funds will be used toward the following projects:
𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
This location currently experiences flooding to the public roadway, public utilities, and private property. This project will replace and improve the existing stormwater system to increase the safety of the traveling public and to mitigate the flooding impacts.
• Total Project Cost: $231,000
• ADEM Funds: $150,000
• County Match: $81,000
𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝟔𝟖 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
The existing stormwater pipe at this location is in poor condition negatively impacting The traveling public that utilize County Road 68. This project will replace and improve the stormwater system to improve safety and mitigate flooding impacts.

• ADEM Funds: $300,000
• County Match: $162,000
