Eastern Shore MPO Launches Online Transportation Survey for 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan

Sep 4, 2024, 10:01 AM

The Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization (ESMPO) is excited to announce the launch of an online transportation survey, offering the citizens of Baldwin County an early opportunity to engage in the development of the 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP).

This initiative is critical in shaping the future of transportation projects across the Eastern Shore region. The 2050 LRTP is a comprehensive document that outlines transportation projects in alignment with budgetary constraints and the vision for growth and development over the next 25 years. By incorporating technical analysis, public engagement, and intergovernmental coordination, the plan aims to address the region’s evolving transportation needs.

The online survey invites residents to provide valuable input on various topics, including congestion locations, bike and pedestrian pathways, transit options, safety improvements, and funding utilization. This early public involvement is essential for ensuring the LRTP reflects the community’s needs and priorities.

Survey Details:
  • End Date: September 30th, 2024
  • Access: Available online through the ESMPO website or directly via this provided link.
"We encourage all Baldwin County residents to participate in this survey. Your feedback is invaluable to us as we work towards creating a transportation network that serves everyone efficiently and safely," Sarah Hart Sislak, Director of

the MPO.
