The Baldwin County Regional Juvenile Detention Center is to provide temporary care of delinquent children or alleged to be delinquent in secure custody pending court dispositions or transfer to a residential facility for further care of a child adjudicated to be delinquent.
Baldwin County Regional Juvenile Detention Center has been serving Baldwin, Escambia, Conecuh, Clark, Choctaw and Washington Counties since 1992. Over the past 20 years the Detention Center has proved to be a safe place for the young men and women in Lower Alabama who are accused or adjudicated pending court action or awaiting placement into another facility. Youth are placed under the order of the juvenile court, which means that only an officer of the juvenile court can order a release.
