NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 23-4-2 and 23-4-20 of the Code of Alabama (1975), as amended, that the Baldwin County Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Baldwin County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 322 Courthouse Square in Bay Minette, Alabama to consider vacating portion of Redmond Lane. More particularly described as follows:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PORTION OF REDMOND LANE RIGHT-OF-WAY PROPOSED TO BE VACATED  

                                                                  

Commencing at the northwest corner of Section 18, Township 4 South, Range 3 East, Baldwin County, Alabama; thence run easterly along the north line of said Section a distance of 470 feet, more or less, to the south right of way line of Redmond Lane and being the Point of Beginning of the property herein described; thence continue easterly along said Section a distance of 60 feet, more or less, to the north right of way line of Redmond Lane;  thence run southeasterly along said right of way line a distance of 275 feet, more or less, to the grantor’s property line; thence run southerly a distance of 60 feet, more or less, to the south line of Redmond Lane; thence run northwesterly along said south right of way line a distance of 360 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning of the property to be vacated.

Commencing at the purported west line of Regular Section 29, Township 2 south, Range 2 east, and the south right of way line of the CSX Railroad formerly known as the L & N Railroad in Grant Section 8, Township 2 south, Range 2 east, in Baldwin County, Alabama; thence run northeasterly along the south right-of-way line of said railroad a distance of 1,860 feet, more or less, to a point in the center of a dirt road and being the Point of Beginning of the prescriptive right of way herein described; thence run southwesterly along the center line of the prescriptive right-of-way a distance of 240 feet, more or less, to a point ending at the railroad’s south property line also being the end of Hurricane Road North right-of-way;  Said line being the center line of the prescriptive property to be vacated and lying in Regular Section 29, Township 2 South, Range 2 East, and being Grant Section 8, Township 2 South, Range 2 East, Baldwin County, Alabama.
