♻️𝐑𝐄𝐂𝐘𝐂𝐋𝐄 𝐁𝐀𝐋𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐘♻️

The dream of recycling is getting closer here in Baldwin County! 

Last week at the Alabama Recycling Coalition Conference and Expo in Pelham, AL, the Baldwin County Commission, the 

City of Gulf Shores, and the City of Fairhope were all presented with Alabama Recycling Fund Grant checks from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).

𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 (MRF) 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬:

- Grant awarded in the amount of $350,000 to the City of Gulf Shores for a loader for the Baldwin County Material Recovery Facility. The City of Gulf Shores, the City of Orange Beach, and the City of Foley jointly applied for a grant for a loader.

- Grant awarded in the amount of $43,000 to the City of Fairhope for a forklift for the Baldwin County Material Recovery Facility.

A big shoutout to the municipalities that joined forces with the Baldwin County Commission and the Solid Waste Department in securing these funds. Let's celebrate this milestone in our recycling efforts!
