During today’s commission meeting, the Baldwin County Commission adopted the updated Baldwin Beach Express II (BBE II) Access Management Plan, a key step in supporting safe, efficient transportation and longterm strategic management of the proposed corridor. Today’s action marked another critical step in advancing progress of the corridor and compliments previous Commission action which authorized right-of-way acquisition along the southern portion of the corridor near I-10.

On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, Governor Kay Ivey announced Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) funding of over $45 million for 23 projects in Coastal Alabama.
The Baldwin County Commission was awarded $2,530,000 in GOMESA funds for renovations and additional amenities to Perdido Bay Park which is located on County Rd 99 in Lillian overlooking Perdido Bay.

The City of Loxley celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Loxley Transit Hub, officially marking the completion of the $1.9 million project. Located just west of Highway 59 on Municipal Park Drive, the hub features an entry plaza, pavilion with restrooms, ADA-accessible sidewalks, added parking, and improved signage connecting to Loxley Municipal Park.
