The Senior Citizen Shelter is considered a Shelter of Last Resort. The structural integrity of the facility cannot be
guaranteed.
This shelter is solely for Senior Citizens, aged 55 and over, who are independent, self
sufficient, and who do not have mental/physical conditions which require medical/nursing
oversight or have conditions which require electricity to sustain life support functions.
Individuals who do have mental/physical conditions which requires medical/nursing oversight should click on Medical Needs Shelter for additional information.
Individuals who do require electricity to sustain life support functions should click on Electrical Support Shelters for further information.
All individuals must sign an Alabama Department of Human Resources registration form/waiver of liability, obey the shelter rules, and be subject to a criminal background check.
