SEARCH FOR CERTIFICATES OF OCCUPANCY (C.O.s)

• Visit the CitizenServe Portal Search page and select the Certificates of Occupancy button at the top.
  • If the needed C.O. cannot be located through the search, email the address to Permitting@BaldwinCountyAL.gov for additional review.
  • If a C.O. is on file, a copy will be provided by email.

SEARCH FOR ELEVATION CERTIFICATES (E.C.s)

• Visit the CitizenServe Portal Search page and select the Elevation Certificates button at the top.
  • It is recommended to begin by searching with the street number only.
  • If no results are found, try the other search fields one at a time.
  • If the needed E.C. cannot be located through the search, email the address to Permitting@BaldwinCountyAL.gov for additional review.
  • If an E.C. is on file, a copy will be provided by email.
• NOTE: The Baldwin County Building Department maintains all Elevation Certificates provided during the permitting and inspection process.
  • There may not be an Elevation Certificate on file if the property is vacant and no structures have ever been added.
  • There may not be an Elevation Certificate on file if the structures were not located within a Special Flood Hazard Area at the time they were constructed.
  • There may not be an Elevation Certificate on file if the structures were built without the required permits.
