Education Services

The Baldwin County Board of Education provides all educational services to the residents detained in the facility.

• The Baldwin County Regional Juvenile Detention Center has two assigned teachers, one clerk, and one para- professional.
• The facility is assigned a special education teacher to ensure all IEP’s and 504 Plans are provided to the residents.
• Students work on the Edgenuity Platform to complete their course work.
• Edgenuity is an at-your-own-pace program which provides all students the ability to pick up where they left off in their community schools.
• Upon release the clerk provides the resident’s home school and/or DYS programs with educational information obtained while they were detained at the facility.
