The Baldwin County Commission has begun advertising for construction bids for the next phase of the County Road 65 (CR 65) corridor, with construction scheduled to begin in late summer. The new one-mile segment will extend CR 65 north from CR 28 to CR 32, connecting the north-south corridor to a major east-west route.

The Baldwin County Commission has approved an agreement to partner with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to install and maintain a new traffic control signal at the intersection of State Route 104 and St. Michaels Way.

The Baldwin County Commission announces the completion of intersection improvements at State Route 59 and Hinote Glass Road. The project added a dedicated turn lane on State Route 59, enhanced roadway alignment, and incorporated drainage upgrades along Hinote Glass Road.

The Baldwin County Commission, in partnership with the City of Daphne, invites the public to attend the America 250 Celebration on Thursday, June 26, 2026, at the Daphne Civic Center. The free community event will celebrate 250 years of American history, freedom and patriotism with live entertainment, family activities, local organizations and community fellowship. The Alabama Army National Guard Band selected Baldwin County to host one of the band’s community performances, across the state, while they are conducting annual drill activities.

The Baldwin County Commission approved a request for the installation of a Revolutionary Patriots monument at Baldwin County Bicentennial Park, in recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. The request, submitted by the Alabama Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), proposes a monument honoring the sacrifices and enduring legacy of those who supported and contributed to the cause of American independence.

The Baldwin County Commission has approved the donation of approximately 4.5 acres of county-owned property in North Baldwin County to Prodisee Pantry, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families facing food insecurity. The property, located near the intersection of Highway 225 and Lakeview Road, will be used for the construction of a new food distribution facility in Stockton.

Monday, the City of Spanish Fort passed a resolution naming the portion of State Route 225 within its city limits “American Patriots Way,” In coordination with the City, the Baldwin County Commission has approved the naming of all portions of Alabama State Route 225 located in the unincorporated areas of Baldwin County from its intersection with U.S. Highway 31 to its intersection with Interstate 65 as “American Patriots Way”.

The Baldwin County Commission and the City of Loxley have entered into an agreement through the County’s 30 Cubed Program to construct a new east-west transportation corridor, strengthening connectivity between U.S. Highway 31 and Alabama Highway 59.

As resurfacing work continues on County Road 48 between Silverhill and Fairhope; the Baldwin County Commission is taking the opportunity to share information about how the roadway resurfacing process works and the steps crews take before and after paving.

The Baldwin County Commission announces that the intersection of County Road 26 (West Michigan Avenue) and South Hickory Street is now open to traffic. Roadway improvements are complete, and the intersection will operate with a temporary traffic signal until the permanent mast-arm signal is installed.
