Out of State Driver License/ID transfers are processed by the Public Safety Division of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA)
IMPORTANT!
- Applicants transferring in Must present a valid Non-Alabama Driver License or ID. (If expired for more than a year, testing will be REQUIRED.)
- Must present identity Verifying Documents. Additional documents will be required if adding a STAR ID to the License or ID.
- If under the age of 19, must present acceptable School Enrollment Documentation.
