How Do I?

Alabama Driver License/ID's can be Renewed or Replaced online at alabamadl.alea.gov
Or
In-Person at a Probate Licensing Office

Have you added the STAR ID designation to your Alabama Driver License? After May 7th, 2025, you will be required to produce a STAR ID or passport to board flights and access some federal facilities.

To replace/renew online:

go to alabamadl.alea.gov
Look for "My Card" (Under the waterfall photo)
Select "Renew or Duplicate My Card
Enter the required information to verify your identity to access online services.
You will be able to print a temporary copy to keep until you recieve your permanent hard copy in the mail.

To replace or renew In-Person, you can visit a Probate Licensing Office as long as you do not have any changes to endorsements or restrictions. Visit baldwincountyal.gov/government/probate-office/licenses/drivers-license for more information.

You can schedule an appointment at any of our Probate Office locations Bay Minette, Fairhope, Foley, or Robertsdale, with the Probate Online Scheduling Portal.
Office hours are Monday - Friday 8 AM - 4:30 PM except for these County Holidays.
