Office Overview
The Purchasing Division is responsible for coordinating all County purchases that are completed with a purchase order to ensure the County receives the best price possible for the goods and services it needs. This includes approving department purchase requests, soliciting bids from vendors, creating purchase orders, managing the County's formal bid process (for items that cost $15,000 or more), and ensuring purchasing procedures comply with applicable regulations.
Mission
Thank you for your interest in the Baldwin County Office of Purchasing. The Office of Purchasing’s overall mission is to provide centralized procurement of all goods and services for all offices under the direction of the Baldwin County Commission, ensuring the proper quantity, quality, price and timely delivery consistent with the needs of the County. This mission also includes fostering broad-based competition with integrity, while administering the purchasing laws and providing effective stewardship to the County taxpayers.

A Vendor’s Guide
This guide is designed to assist you in understanding the basic procedures of centralized purchasing in Baldwin County Government. Baldwin County Commission welcomes vendors to do business with the County and will provide any assistance and information that may help you to better understand our procedures.
