- Address Request Letter - from Baldwin County 911
- Driveway Permit – from County Highway Department or ALDOT
- For driveway located on any road other than a state highway, apply online on the County's Highway Dept website. For questions, contact the Baldwin County Highway Dept.: North Baldwin: 251-937-0371, Central Baldwin 251-972-6897, or South Baldwin 251-990-4635
- Sewer Release or Health Department Septic Tank Release
- For sewer service, contact the sewer utility company for the property’s area to obtain sewer release.
- For septic tanks, contact the Baldwin County Health Department at 251-947-3618 or 251-937-6935 to obtain septic tank release.
- Water Release
- Planning & Zoning Site Plan Approval/Land Use Certificate (depending on location)
- Required for any property located in a zoned area if any structure will be added to the property, if square footage will be added to or modified on an existing structure, or if there will be a change in the use of an existing structure. There may be other projects that require a Site Plan Approval/Land Use Certificate as well. Determine if a property is zoned and if a Site Plan Approval is required by contacting the appropriate Planning & Zoning Dept. The Land Use Certificate must be applied for and issued BEFORE a building permit can be approved and issued.
- Building Department Permit
- In order to apply for a permit, the applicant will be required to certify that either (1) they own the property listed on the application or (2) that the property owner has authorized them to be their representative to act for them. The applicant must be a registered user of the Baldwin County Citizenserve Portal. Register online at www.Citizenserve.com/BaldwinCounty or click here to download the Portal Registration Form. The registration form can be printed, completed, and returned via email or in person at one of the Building Department office locations. Property owners and authorized agents must provide a copy of their government issued photo ID.
