NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 23-4-2 and 23-4-20 of the Code of Alabama (1975), as amended, that the Baldwin County Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2021 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Baldwin County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 322 Courthouse Square in Bay Minette, Alabama to consider vacating a 40’ unopened, unimproved right of way north of River Road. More particularly described as follows:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF 40’ UNOPENED, UNIMPROVED RIGHT OF WAY PROPOSED TO BE VACATED:

 

Commencing at northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 4 East, Baldwin County, Alabama, and being the Point of the Beginning

Thence run southerly along the east line of said Quarter a distance of 20 feet, more or less, to a point of the existing right of way;

Thence run westerly along the existing right of way a distance of 1320 feet, more or less, to the west line of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section;

Thence run northerly along the west line of said Quarter/Quarter a distance of 40 feet, more or less, to a point on the existing right of way line in the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of said Section;

Thence run easterly along the existing right of way line a distance of 1320 feet, more or less, to the east line of said Section;

Thence southerly along the east line of said Section a distance of 20 feet, more or less, to the Point of Beginning of the right herein to be vacated.

 

LAYMEN’S DESCRIPTION OF 40’ UNOPENED, UNIMPROVED RIGHT OF WAY PROPOSED TO BE VACATED: 

 

A 40 foot right of way running east and west on the half section line as recorded in Deed Book 24, page 25, lying on the north line of Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the south line of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 4 East, Baldwin County, Alabama.
