Honorable Albert Lipscomb
Biography:
The Honorable Albert Lipscomb was appointed to the Office of Board of Registrars of Baldwin County, Alabama by Commissioner of Agriculture & Industries of the State of Alabama John McMillan(R) - Alabama.
The Honorable Albert Lipscomb is a seventh generation farmer and longtime resident of the Magnolia Springs community in Baldwin County, Alabama. Lipscomb served, with distinction, as a member of the Alabama State Senate from 1989 to 2002. As a State Senator, he served on a number of Senate Committees which included, upon the expiration of his last senatorial tern, Local Legislation No. 3; Veterans and Military Affairs; Children, Youth Affairs and Human Resources and Agriculture and Forestry, on which he served as Vice Chairman.
Lipscomb also served as a Baldwin County Commissioner for Baldwin County District 4.
Lipscomb was appointed by the Governor of the State of Alabama to the Commission in June, 2004 and was elected to a 2 year term the following November. In 2006, Lipscomb served as Chairman of the Baldwin County Commission.
A dedicated advocate of Baldwin County, Lipscomb is a member of the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce and has served as the former President of the Baldwin County Chapter of Alabama Volunteers in Corrections.
Lipscomb is a member of Vernant Park Baptist Church, where he serves as a Deacon. He resides near Magnolia Springs with his wife, Rhonda, they have two married children and two granddaughters and one grandson.
