NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

CASE NO: VAC-16-3

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 23-4-2 of the Code of Alabama (1975), as amended, that the Baldwin County Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, May 17th , 2016 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Baldwin County Administration Building, Commission Chambers, 322 Courthouse Square in Bay Minette, Alabama to consider vacating a portion of an unopened 30’ right of way south of U S Highway 98 in Baldwin County, Alabama. More particularly described as follows:

 

LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF A PORTION OF AN UNOPENED 30’ RIGHT-OF-WAY  PROPOSED TO BE VACATED

 

Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northeast Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 7 South, Range 3 East, Baldwin County, Alabama; thence run southerly along the east line of said quarter a distance of 50 feet, more or less, to the south right of way line of U S Highway 98 for a point of beginning; thence continue southerly along said quarter a distance of 2,128 feet, more or less, to a point; thence run westerly a distance of 30 feet, more or less, to a point; thence run northerly a distance of 2,128 feet, more or less, to the south right of way line of U S Highway 98; thence run easterly along south right of way line for a distance of 30 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.

 

LAYMAN’S DESCRIPTION OF A PORTION OF AN UNOPENED 30’ RIGHT-OF-WAY  PROPOSED TO BE VACATED

 

That portion of a 30 foot right of way running north and south along the east section line as recorded in Deed Book 22 at page 311; beginning on the existing south right of way line of U S Highway 98 and the east section line, thence run southerly a distance of 2,128 feet, more or less, to a point and end of right of way.  Said portion of right of way is situated in the Southeast Quarter of Section 29, Township 7 South, Range 3 East, Baldwin County, Alabama.
