Please note: If you are upgrading your tag & it is not due for renewal, the current plate must be turned in before the personalized tag can be processed.

Q. I moved out of state. What do I do with my current Alabama tags?
A. Currently registered Alabama tags without Alabama insurance will eventually go into a suspended status. Customers who wish to prevent that can mail their plates with a copy of their current out of state registration to our main office location at  220 Courthouse Square Bay Minette AL 36507 or PO Box 459 Bay Minette, AL 36507. Tags that do go into suspension will have to be addressed if the customer moves back to Alabama, but will not affect a customer's driver license.
