We are now offering an online service that enables you to register a newly purchased vehicle from an Alabama dealer. This process requires a title application. If you are in possession of a title that needs to be processed, you will need to come into your local office.
If you have your title application, bill of sale, proof of Alabama insurance, and driver license for each owner, you may click the following link to register your vehicle online.
Please note: Registrants have 20 days from date of purchase or acquisition to register a newly acquired vehicle without penalty.

Important information: The Manufacturer Certificate of Origin must state that the vehicle meets street legal guidelines. In the event of a casual sale and the MSO cannot be located, we would need to inspect the vehicle to ensure that the manufacturer stamp certifying street legal is present. If the stamp is not present: the vehicle cannot be registered. VIN inspection rules apply.
